Distributor Helps Support Olympic Athletes (7/30/2008)

Post No Bills has collected over $100,000 for the U.S Olympic Team through sales of a special red, white, and blue Team Ring wristband imprinted with “Dream. Believe. Achieve.” And with the Olympics in Beijing less than two weeks away, sales are still robust. “We’ve already sold over 100,000 units and are in the final stretch,” says Doreen Sulluvan, president of Post No Bills, and Adventures in Advertising (asi/109480) affiliate. “Our goal is 200,000.”

The Team Rings program was developed in cooperation with the U.S Olympic Committee to increase awareness and raise money for athletes competing in the games. Each wristband consists of three colored bands connected with a stainless steel clasp featuring the Olympic logo, “Amazing Awaits”  and “Beijing 08-08-08” on the back. They retail at $4.95 and wholesale for $2.95 with $1 from every sale going directly to the Olympic Committee, and the item can be found at www.usolympiccollection.org. 

Response to the program has been phenomenal, says Sullivan. “Over  20 different Olympic teams are wearing them and everybody that has gotten these has reordered two, three and  four times already. At retail they sold out in a matter of days and families of the athletes have raised thousands themselves. And if you order them online an additional dollar goes to the team of your choice.”
